The event, set for Friday, October 10, is free for all participants in partnership with Campaspe Shire Council.
Attendees will enjoy a three-course meal together at Moama Bowling Club, paired with food for the soul from keynote speaker Warren Davies.
Echuca Neighbourhood House manager Sarah Peake is looking forward to welcoming guests from the farming community for the important event.
“We’ve seen, especially through our food bank, the number of local farming families that are needing to access these services because of the struggles that they’re facing due to the drought or ongoing flood effects,” she said.
Dubbed the Unbreakable Farmer, Kyabram’s Mr Davies will share his story of resilience and determination living in regional Australia.
“He’s obviously a farmer himself,” Ms Peake said.
“He’ll be sharing his story on his resilience through the challenges that he’s faced himself through his real life.”
Mr Davies’ insights will be shared between meals, including a look into his background, his strategies and tools for resilience, and a question-and-answer session from the crowd.
Wellbeing services will also be in attendance for guests to access.
“It doesn’t have to be the farmer directly, it could be the family or friends, it’s more a night for the community to attend,” Ms Peake said.
“They will go home with a whole heap of tools and resources to help them not only deal with their own struggles if they have them, but also be able to provide support to somebody that they see is struggling.
“I think (it) is a really important thing to have in this day and age.”
The event is free through the Campaspe Shire Flood Recovery Program and a Victorian Government Look Over the Farm Gate grant.
The ENH team is also making up showbags with support resources and guidance.
More than half of the tickets have been booked so far, with two weeks to go.
