Play On! takes to the stage

Echuca-Moama Theatre Company opens the curtains to its latest production tonight.

The hilarious comedy Play On! — by Rick Abbot — is about a cash-strapped community theatre group desperately trying to put on a murder mystery play despite maddening interference from a haughty author who keeps revising the script.

Act one is a rehearsal of the dreadful show, act two is the near disastrous dress rehearsal, and the final act is the actual performance, in which anything that can go wrong, does.

Performances will be held this week at Echuca’s The Foundry Arts Space on Murray Esplanade at 7.30pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Venue seating will be cabaret-style with tables of six or 10, and patrons are invited to bring their own nibbles and drinks.
