'Thank you Mrs Coulson’ will be on display throughout the Discovery Centre's Interpretive Centre from November 29 to March 2, 2020 to recognise the mammoth efforts of Helen Coulson OAM.
“We are very excited to be honouring Helen in this way. She is, without a doubt, an icon in the Port of Echuca, and truly deserves this recognition,” exhibits and operations manager Mesh Thomson said.
Helen Coulson has dedicated the majority of her adult life to preserving the rich history of Echuca-Moama.
In the past year she celebrated her 100th birthday, which signifies the immense contribution she has made to the tourism industry in our towns.
‘Thank you Mrs Coulson’ has been directed by two dedicated volunteers at the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre – Donna Hansen and Margaret McMullen.
“Two of our amazing volunteers – Donna and Marg – have taken lead on this project. We are very grateful for their continued efforts, and are very proud of what they have achieved,” bookings and marketing officer Jason Clymo said.
The public is invited to attend the official launch of the exhibition on November 29 at 6pm.
Light finger food and beverages will be provided, alongside a free viewing of the centre’s new exhibition.
The Port of Echuca Discovery Centre is open every day (excluding December 25) between 9am and 5pm.
