The Victorian Government is encouraging people to apply for the Power Saving Bonus before it closes on March 31.
To apply, households need a recent residential electricity bill and must hold a health care, pensioner concession, veterans’ affairs pensioner concession or veterans’ affairs gold card.
Eligible Victorian households can claim the bonus through the Victorian Energy Compare (VEC) website or with in-person and over-the-phone support from Yarawonga Mulwala Community and Learning Centre.
Anyone struggling with energy bills can access the Energy Assistance Program.
Victorians can also use the Victorian Energy Compare website to find the best priced offers in the energy market.
In 2025, people who used the website to switch to a better deal saved an average of $170.
Applications for the $100 Power Saving Bonus close at midnight on Tuesday 31 March 2026. To apply, visit compare.energy.vic.gov.au or call 1800 000 832. For the Energy Assistance Program call 1800 161 215.
