Event organiser Finlay Duffy has been putting on the event for the past eight years in honour of her brother, who died by suicide in 2016.
In its first year, only the Duffys’ friends and family attended the event, but now it is regularly raising thousands for the R U OK? Day charity each year.
Ms Duffy said the most recent event was another success, well supported by the wider community.
“It went really well ... we raised $8,870,” she said.
“Every year I try to up it by a thousand or whatever, but this year, I jumped two grand but I knew we could do it.
“The community support and everyone that gets behind it can be a bit overwhelming, especially on the night when you see everyone turn up — it’s just really heart-warming.
“There was a lot of good feedback from people that attended and quite a few have already signed up for next year, which is awesome.”

While the trivia night is the major fundraiser, it is also supported by the fundraising efforts of other businesses and community groups.
The Echuca West Woolworths and Moama Woolworths will be raising money while The Hungry Goat is donating all proceeds from its doughnut drive to Ms Duffy’s fundraiser.
Echuca College is also supporting the cause, with donations made during its Wellbeing Day this Friday to add to the fundraiser.
All the funds raised will be added to the ‘Doing it for Dev’ R U OK? fundraising page.
