The man found dead near Jerilderie in June has been confirmed as Brisbane's Mark Akers.
Police are renewing their appeal for information as they continue to investigate the death of a man whose body was found on the side of the Newell Hwy, about 11km south of Jerilderie, in NSW’s south last month.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District were called to the scene, about 12.35pm on Tuesday, June 17, where the body of a 44-year-old man was found on the side of the road.
Anyone with dash cam footage of Mark Akers' distinctive care is asked to come forward.
Police have now identified the man as Mark Akers in a statement.
He had suffered critical injuries, which police now believe are the result of being hit by a car. Police are treating Mr Akers’ death as suspicious.
Police are appealing for information about a 2021 model black Toyota LandCruiser 200 series with distinctive pink stickers on the windscreen seen travelling on the Newell Hwy between Jerilderie and Finley in the early hours of Monday, June 16 to contact them or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
