Customers invited to share feedback
Coliban Water is asking customers to share their feedback — and those who take part go in the draw to win one of 10 $100 water bill credits.
The water service provider is looking for customers’ perspective on products and services.
Regardless of whether customers receive an email invitation, every customer can take part by visiting the website and completing the survey by October 22.
The survey is available at coliban.com.au

Buster joins campaign
There’s a new bird on the block — and he’s not here to laugh, he’s here to fight for fairness.
The CFA Volunteers Group Inc has welcomed Buster the kookaburra, the bold, cheeky, and unmistakably Aussie mascot of the new ‘Fence Sign’ campaign.
You’ll be seeing Buster popping up on fences, gates and front paddocks across Victoria – squawking out one very clear message: Scrap the emergency services and volunteers tax – it’s time for a fair go.
“Buster cuts through the noise with a laugh and a message,” a CFA Volunteers Group Inc spokesperson said.
“He’s a reminder that fire safety is a community responsibility — but funding it through an unjust property levy isn’t.”
Signs will be available from participating local fire brigades.
Duck abundance survey
The Game Management Authority’s annual survey of Victoria’s game duck population starts later this month.
The survey will be conducted by wildlife biologists, who will record the presence, species and number of game ducks at more than 850 water bodies across Victoria, including wetlands, farm dams, sewerage treatment plants, streams and rivers.
The 2025 survey is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, October 21, until Saturday, November 8, inclusive. The flight schedule may change from day to day, depending on weather conditions or other factors.
Residents in surveyed areas may see a helicopter flying at low levels for a short time and for no longer than is necessary. Disturbance to livestock will be minimised or avoided. The safety of people and livestock is a priority.
