Greater Shepparton City Council will deliver important safety upgrades in the inner north, with the installation of two raised pedestrian (wombat) crossings designed to slow traffic and protect all moving through the area.
As part of the Shepparton Inner North Local Area Traffic Management Plan, these installations will take place at the intersections on Harold and Knight Sts, and Oram and Knight Sts.
The LATM plan aims to address concerns around congestion, intersection safety and walkability in the area.
Construction will begin on Monday, April 6 and is expected to take until Wednesday, April 22, weather permitting.
The works will be undertaken between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, under traffic management. Minor delays are expected, with road users and pedestrians asked to take notice of all signage, detours and directions from traffic controllers.
