Singing Senator: While he is only a senate candidate — at this stage — we couldn’t resist the reference of “singing senator” as former contestant on The Voice, Mick Carrington, as he campaigns for the Senate. He and Nicholls candidate Sam Birrell — who also sings and plays the guitar — were on stage last week at the Aussie Hotel performing some classic Aussie hits.
