Following an assessment by the Department of Education, a row of rotten peppercorn trees was deemed hazardous and removed more than a year ago.
In their place, 20 Urbanite Ash trees have now been planted, offering a safer and more visually appealing environment for students and staff.
Fresh turf has also been laid, adding to the revitalised outdoor space.
The project wasn’t just about aesthetics, it also provided a valuable learning opportunity.
Students from the school’s Work Studies program played an active role in coordinating the works, including installing tree rings as part of their hands-on education experience.
The transformation was made possible thanks to the support of local businesses, including Deni Civil Group, Riverina Watermatic, and Steel Supplies, who all contributed time, resources, and expertise to help the school make this much-needed change.
