“We are hoping for at least 300 to 500 vehicles,” club president Kate Dixon said.
“We are hoping for cars, trucks, boats and bikes; anything that is old or vintage, we don’t discriminate, which is good.”
The club has about 150 members and tried to do a show and shine during the COVID-19 pandemic, but it had to be cancelled.
“This will only be our second show and shine, we started off quite small,” Ms Dixon said.
“We had the first one at the Kerrabee Soundshell; we had 100 entries.
“This year, we have invited other car clubs from around the area and people who are travelling.
“We are a small committee from the car club and we thought, let’s go and show our showcase vehicles and give back to the community and help others.”
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Echuca Regional Health Cancer and Wellness Centre.

“I think everybody has been touched by someone with cancer or knows someone who has to use the facilities,” Ms Dixon said.
“Equipment is what we want to try and donate towards, to keep the equipment up to date for those that need it.
“It is something we can all relate to, that is a great need in the community, and we want to keep it local.
“A big thank you to all those who have helped sponsor the event and the shire for giving us the grounds at Jack Eddy Oval to use.”
Members of the public are welcome to come along, with children’s activities, displays from local emergency services, food and drink stalls and a Moama Historic Vehicle Club merchandise tent.
There are 18 categories to enter your vehicle in, with the sponsor of each category picking the winning vehicles.
Shannon’s will be in attendance, picking the Show and Shine Shannon’s Choice Best Vehicle trophy winner, announced at 1pm, along with all the other winners.
Gates open for cars, trucks, commercial vehicles, boats, hot rods — basically any vintage vehicles — from 7am to 10am, with access for vehicles limited after that time, with the show and shine finishing at 2pm.
Entry is $10 per vehicle and includes a stubby holder, while supplies last. Payment can be made by cash or EFTPOS at the gate.
