Rain inundated the region, causing flash flooding and building damage in parts of Echuca.

More than 70mm of rain fell in Echuca in the 24 hours to 9am on Monday, March 2.
Streets across Echuca-Moama, including Sturt St, and Ogilive Ave, were inundated with water on Monday.
The car park at the shops on Ogilvie Ave was flooded, as were parking spaces in front of businesses along the Northern Hwy, stretching from the Warren St roundabout, right through to the Fehring Lane turn-off.
Calls for assistance flooded in, with the VicEmergency site alerting people to flooding and building damage in Ogilvie Ave, Fehring Lane and Jamieson Dve, among others.
Warren St was surrounded by water.
The rainfall in the 24-hour period was more than the entire month of February, in which 35.6mm was recorded.
The dark clouds blew out of the region mid-afternoon, but not before leaving a trail of destruction in towns across the region, including Echuca, Moama, Tongala and Kyabram.

Rochester had registered 74mm of rain until 9am, and Kyabram 64mm.
The Riv asked readers how much they had in their gauges yesterday.
Figures at 2pm yesterday ranged from 125mm in Echuca’s west, 100mm in Echuca, 160mm in Moama, 90mm in the east, 91mm in Echuca’s south and 73mm in Barmah. Kyabram copped more than 130mm.
The forecast for the rest of the week is for temperatures in the high 20s, with Tuesday, March 3, expected to be cloudy with possibility of a shower in the early morning.
The rest of the week will be sunny.
