Festive colour and creativity have brought extra cheer to the Benalla CBD this Christmas, thanks to the efforts of Benalla P-12 College students.
They designed and created a series of Christmas-themed signs, which are now on display throughout the town centre.
The artwork was produced as part of the Visual Arts programs at Benalla P-12 College’s Faithful and Waller St campuses.
Students designed bright, joyful pieces that celebrate the festive season and help create a welcoming atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.
Benalla Mayor Bernie Hearn thanked the students and teachers for their commitment and creativity.
“This Christmas artwork has added a real sense of joy and colour to our CBD, and they’ve brought smiles to people passing through,” Cr Hearn said.
Cr Hearn also acknowledged the teachers involved, noting the value of arts education in building confidence, creativity and community connection.
“It’s a lovely reminder of the importance of supporting creativity and celebrating the efforts of our young people,” she said.
“Benalla Rural City Council thanks Benalla P-12 College students and staff for their tireless work and for helping to spread Christmas cheer across Benalla.”
