Echuca-Moama Theatre Company has announced the cast for its highly anticipated production of Into the Woods.
The cast includes a dynamic blend of seasoned performers and emerging talents, each bringing unique flair to their respective roles.
Co-directors Tamara Cadd, Mark Thomson and Sean O’Brien are excited about the diverse and talented group that has come together for this musical production.
“Selecting the cast for Into the Woods has been a tough but exhilarating process,” Mr Thomson said.
“We’ve assembled a group of exceptionally talented actors who bring passion, energy and a deep understanding of the characters to the stage.”
The lead roles feature Mr O’Brien as the Baker, Ms Cadd as the Baker’s Wife, Juliana De Quilettes as the Witch, Megan Scott as Cinderella, Indi Gilmore as Little Red Riding Hood and Luke Martin as Jack.
The supporting cast showcases a rich tapestry of characters from familiar fairy tales, promising a delightful and thought-provoking theatrical experience.
“I am confident that our cast will bring depth and authenticity to their characters, creating a magical and memorable performance for our audiences,” Mr Thomson said.
Into the Woods intertwines some of the Grimm Brothers’ classic fairy tales, which explore the consequences of wishes and the complexity of human desires.
“We have had our first read-through, and it’s already sounding amazing,” Mr Thomson said.
“We are excited to start rehearsals and bring Stephen Sondheim’s award-winning musical to life in Echuca.”
Into the Woods will run for a strictly limited season, with five shows at the Echuca Paramount from May 30 to June 2.
