Run by the Urana Vintage Machinery Club Inc, Corowa Historic Vehicle & Machinery Club and Riverina Vintage Machinery Club Inc, the run is held to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease research.
It is named in honour of Jerilderie’s Ian Sneddon, a life member of the Riverina club, who was diagnosed with MND while still a participant and who has since lost his battle with the disease.
The first trek was held in 2014, and the second in 2017.
The 2 Rivers Trek travels between the Murray River and the Murrumbidgee River.
It kicks off in Berrigan this Sunday, stopping in Blighty on night one.
On subsequent days, the route is as follows: Blighty to Conargo, Conargo to Carrathool, Carrathool to Darlington Point, Darlington Point to Coleambally, Coleambally to the Bolton Fire Shed and then the fire shed to Berrigan to finish up on March 23.
Fundraising evenings will be hosted at the Coleambally Club on March 21 from 8pm and the Berrigan Footy Club rooms at 8pm on March 23.
