Last weekend, a fleet of tiny caravans sped into town for their very first Travellers Muster.
A group of dedicated fans apart of the Facebook group Winton 10, Venus 11 and Mystic 10 Travellers drove down to Echuca from all over Australia to meet up, enjoy the sites and see each other’s vans.
Event organiser and Facebook group creator Glenn Hughes said the weekend was a huge success.
“The majority of muster members arrived on Friday for a social evening in the camp kitchen of the Echuca Caravan Park,” he said.
“Having travelled over days from South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria to get to Echuca, the evening was about members actually meeting in person for the first time after all the communication via the Travellers Facebook page.”
The travellers converged at Echuca Caravan Park from Friday, June 14 until Sunday, June 17, enjoying a weekend on the river and taking part in many activities Echuca has on offer.
“Members took advantage of the attractions like the walk through the working steam museum and the dock area, and the many shops and cafes, including enjoying meals and drinks at The Shamrock Hotel,” Mr Hughes said.
“It was a great get together, with all members having enjoyed the weekend.”
