Toilet facilities have been upgraded and refurbished at Nanneella Estate Primary School, with improvements made to the functionality, hygiene and accessibility of the blocks.
Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp said the Victorian Government invested $34,120 towards upgrading the facilities at Nanneella.
“We’re making sure that our schools have the best facilities, our classrooms have the best teachers and that every child is given every chance to succeed,” Mr Gepp said.
“Local kids can now enjoy great new facilities at Nanneella Estate Primary School.”
The project is part of the Victorian Government’s commitment to modernise existing schools and develop new schools across the state.
Over the past eight years, the Victorian Government has invested more than $12.8 billion towards this commitment.
Minister for Education Natalie Hutchins said Victoria’s school building boom was all about making sure school kids have access to the best classrooms and facilities.
“Better facilities assist with ensuring students across the state have a bright future,” Ms Hutchins said.
The Victorian Budget 2022-23 has invested a further $41.8 million in the Minor Capital Works Fund to improve learning spaces, as well as the condition and character of schools.
