Shepparton’s Victoria Park Lake is looking a whole lot brighter.
Path lighting has been installed along the shared pathways around the lake, creating an impressive visual display.
Greater Shepparton City Council, in partnership with Byers Electrical, installed 64 new lights along the lake, with the lights synchronised to change colour.
The lighting is an upgrade to works that took place in 2018 and 2019 to improve the safety and visibility of the paths around the lake.
Council’s infrastructure director Gary Randhawa said it was amazing to see the improvements to the lighting.
“We see a significant number of people using the shared path network each day and it is clear how popular this space is for residents and visitors to the region,” he said.
“We hope the community enjoys the colourful light display which this upgrade has provided and we hope the new lighting encourages more residents to utilise the space in the mornings and evenings.”
