Victorian Government confirms latest easing of restrictions for regional areas

GYMS and places of religious gatherings are the biggest winners in the latest easing of restrictions across regional Victoria.

From 11.59pm on Tuesday, gyms will be able to open their doors once again with a maximum of 20 people. There can beÂ a maximum of ten people per space and a density of one person per 8 square metres

Indoors faith gatherings can go ahead with 20 people inside (plus one faith leader) from 11.59pm on Tuesday.

School graduations can be held within school communities.

Outdoor faith gatherings can have 50 people.

Outdoor funerals will be allowed 50 people.

Indoor community sport (non-contact for those under 18) can go ahead as well.

Regional Victoria's rolling 14-day average has now dropped to 0.2.

There were seven new cases recorded across the state.

No changes were made to the current restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne.
