Residents and visitors to the region can now recycle eligible drink containers at a new refund point located at the Ashenden St car park, 7 Ashenden St.
Since the CDS commenced on November 1, 2023, Victorians have returned over 680 million containers across the state.
On offer is a 10-cent refund per container, redeemable as a cash voucher at Coles supermarket, via electronic funds transfer or as a charity donation.
“We’re expanding our network of refund points in the Greater Shepparton City Council to make recycling easy and rewarding for all,” Visy general manager (CDS) Tim O’Donnell said.
Visy, the zone operator for the CDS Vic North Zone, will establish over 230 refund points across the Loddon, Mallee and Hume regions and Melbourne’s inner north and eastern suburbs.
Residents can find their nearest refund point and access electronic refunds through the CDS Vic North app for iOS or Android.
