Visitors travel for Deniliquin Ladies open

The Deniliquin Golf Club hosted the Deniliquin Ladies Open on Friday.

Deniliquin Golf Club women's captain Linda Brandt thanked the club for their well-kept but tough course, and the ladies’ committee for help with the organisation of the day.

It was a successful competition, with great conditions for golf and several winners prizes handed out, supported by sponsors Ritchies’ IGA.

A delicious lunch and afternoon tea was made by Rachael Munro of Cafe 100 in the Golf Club kitchen.

The club had visitors from Tocumwal, Finley, Jerilderie, Cohuna, Trentham and Rich River to take part.

They also received a few generous donations for their raffle, with some of the Tocumwal visitors being fortunate to take home a selection of raffle winnings.

The Ladies Open was part of a two-day Deniliquin Open tournament, which was followed by the Men’s Open on Saturday.

Results from the Deniliquin Open will appear in the Off The Tee column in Friday’s edition.
