Vivid chief executive Scott Alexander said the art exhibition reflected a common theme across seven decades at Vivid – art.
“History shows that engaging in the arts, social activities and interaction within our communities can help with major challenges and build self-esteem, confidence, and resilience,” Mr Alexander said.
“The exhibition is the perfect platform to build connection in the community and showcase the development of fine motor skills and imagination amongst participants.”
The Culture and Art program is one of many opportunities available at Vivid, with the overall aim of enhancing independence, imagination, confidence and self-esteem.
“Through the program, participants gain a practical insight into artistic technique and have expressed themselves with confidence and creativity. It has put big smiles on their faces to see their work on display,” Mr Alexander said.
