St Michael’s School got the ball rolling by launching a ‘We Stand With Deni High’ fundraising idea.
Supported by the Deni High P&C, other schools, businesses and organisations were invited to take part and make a gold coin donation to support Deni High student welfare.
The local response was overwhelming, but then support rolled in from other regional schools.
Former and future students of the school even showed their support from as far away as Spain and Japan.
