WINTER Blues is here this weekend and the organisers are hoping to organise a little band of helpers to handle some of the backstage challenges the weekend presents.

Dave Callanan said the festival is one of the biggest on the local calendar and he really needs at least a dozen people – but more would be better – to help with everything from set up to clean up: “You don’t have to be in tip-top physical shape, even if you can just walk around town and drop off our guitars that people decorate would be a help,” Dave explained.
“The Kids’ Space is another area where some helping hands with getting things in place and then tidying up afterwards would be a serious plus,” he said. “Don’t worry you won’t be able to do much, we have a job that will fit you no matter how much time and/or energy you have.
“It also helps me as it means one less thing I will have to do,” he laughed.
If you think you have some spare time to help out one of the region’s signature events, call Dave Callanan on 0419 374 627.
He’s looking forward to hearing from you.
More than 20,000 people are expected to flock to the four-day festival, starting on Thursday, with 60 blues and roots performers from around south-east Australia playing across 25 stages all around Echuca.
