The grant program, which is now open for applications, is designed to help young people by providing funding to support a range of activities and events focused on residents aged 12 to 25 across Campaspe Shire.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell said the grants program was a great way for council to help the young people of the shire to turn their ideas for promoting social connection and positive wellbeing into reality.
“It’s a great chance for young people to step up, get involved in planning and running events and activities and make a real difference for themselves and their peers in the place they live,” he said.
Grants are available for amounts ranging from $500 to $1500 per application and can be used for a variety of youth-led activities and events such as movie nights, art exhibitions, musical performances, sporting events or bus trips.
Events must be alcohol-free, smoke-free and drug-free; accessible to all young people; based in Campaspe Shire; and held before December 31, 2025.
Applications close at midnight on Sunday, June 29. Apply online via council’s website in the “now open” section.
Once closed, council’s youth action group will assess the applications and advise applicants of the outcome by July 15.
