THE man accused of shooting at jet ski rider near Moama last month has faced court.
Brett Hickman, 51, appeared in Albury Local Court on Monday, January 11, charged with fire firearm in or near public place, not keep firearm safely — not prohibited firearm, and holder of Category A or B licence not have approved storage.
The matter was adjourned to February 15 at the same court.
Hickman was previously granted conditional bail on December 29 by the NSW Supreme Court.
He was arrested on December 27 after officers responded to reports of shots being fired on the Murray River about 4pm.
Police were told at least two shots were fired in the direction of a 23-year-old man, who was riding a jet ski, and appeared to have come from a nearby houseboat.
A houseboat and a home on Goldsborough Rd, Moama, were raided and police seized three firearms, including a shotgun, ammunition and cannabis.
The 23-year-old victim was unharmed in the incident.
