The matter of an Echuca hotel owner who allegedly defied public health orders last year has been adjourned until August.
Echcua’s Pastoral Hotel owner Trevor Bernard Andrews was charged with refusing to comply with a direction of an authorised officer under chief health officer directions.
On July 18 last year, Mr Andrews posted on Facebook that he was opening his business, despite directions from the Victorian chief health officer not to do so.
Victoria Police handed more than $100,000 worth of fines to 47 staff and community members at the pub over a period of three days in July.
Mr Andrews is set to appear at Echuca Magistrates’ Court in August.
