In one game, the look of the Goulburn Murray Cricket's finals completely shifted.
While three of the original finals aspirants are still in the top four, no one team ended round 12 where they started from the week before.
As we return to two-day cricket, the make-up of the four could be ready to shift again.
●Moama will be looking to return to top spot, while Tongala will be looking to consolidate their position when the two sides play off.
Moama surprisingly lost to BLU on Saturday, a result few would have expected, and one which cost the Magpies their place at the summit after just one round.
Tongala, on the other hand, continued to build on their strong season last year by knocking off the might of Kyabram Fire Brigade to move into top spot.
When the two sides met earlier this season, Moama was able to get the win by five wickets in the final over, but the Blues have been in great form since.
With just two one-day games to follow, this game is going to be incredibly important for deciding the order of the four.
●Echuca will be looking to stop Rochester from re-entering the top four.
The men in green had their third win of the season on Saturday, knocking off Echuca South in a twilight match, while the clubs raised money for the CFA.
The tally raised was $5463.60, but the bragging rights on the field belonged to Echuca.
They will be looking to add a fourth victory to their total this week, and ruin their opponent’s season.
Rochester's loss to Cooma on Saturday saw the sides flip position in the battle for fourth, leaving Rochy on the outside looking in.
They will have to keep winning from here to get their spot back, rather than relying purely on other results.
●After rare back-to-back losses, Kyabram Fire Brigade finds itself in third place.
But they should be able to find their way back into winning form in this round of matches.
They come up against Echuca South, who are sitting last on the table again, a full game back from BLU.
South have struggled all season long to get some serious momentum flowing, and their performance on Saturday has not helped them get going.
Fire Brigade should get the win here.
●BLU will be feeling good after getting a win against then top side Moama on Saturday.
BLU has the talent and the right players. It's simply a question of getting on the roll they need to get wins.
While their opponent Cooma is a top four side, they have been inconsistent and can falter if challenged.
This could be BLU's to steal.
●Echuca will look to strengthen their hold on top spot in the women's A grade competition when they face off with second placed Leitchville/Gunbower on Sunday.
Echuca has a one game advantage over Leitchy-Gunny, and with just one game remaining after this, they will need the win.
Lawn Bowls
Weekend action returns and mid-week continues today and Saturday in the Campaspe Valley Bowls Division.
The question is if anyone can stop Tongala.
They have been on a roll so far this season, sitting at 9-1.
They take on Rich River, who sit 5-5, and will want to get on the right side of 50 per cent.
With four rounds to go, the time to catch Tongala is rapidly running out.
In other games on Saturday, Moama take on Rochester, City of Echuca are on the road in Deniliquin, while Mathoura face Deni RSL.
Also with four games remaining, Moama looks to be unbreakable in mid-week action.
They sit 58 points clear in top spot with an 11-0 record, five games clear of second.
They will be on the road in Deniliquin, Echuca will travel to Mathoura, while Rochester will host Rich River.
Tennis
After an extended Christmas break, Campaspe Tennis Association action returns on Saturday.
Echuca Lawn 2 will continue its battle with Rich River 1 for top spot, holding a one game advantage at the resumption of play.
South 2 will take on Rochester 1 at home, while Rich River 1 will have to travel to Elmore for their match.
The two Echuca Lawn sides will face off with each other, while Rochester 2 will host South 1.
In Goulburn Murray Lawn Tennis Association action, both local sides are on the road, with the Echuca/Rochester side taking on the Shepparton Hornets, and Rich River taking on the Shepparton Lakers.
