“As hard as a cat's head" is a phrase thrown around when it comes to Echuca's 2009 best and fairest.
Widely regarded as a ferocious on-baller, Casey led the side in 2011, epitomising the "lead from the front" mentality, and going flat-out at the footy at every opportunity.
The contested ball machine played more than 100 games with the Bottle Greens before finishing up his career.
13 - Adrian Dohnt
Dohnt made the move from Moama to Echuca in 2007, and over three seasons with the Murray Bombers, established himself as one of the best midfielders in the GVL.
A goal-kicking, pacey left footer, Dohnt could, and often would, sway the outcome of a game in mere minutes.
He claimed Echuca’s senior best and fairest in his first season at the club, and earned plaudits from many in country footy before finishing his career at the Pies after the 2016 season.
14 - Brendan Prendergast
Longevity in local football can be hard to maintain, but Echuca stalwart Brendan Prendergast was the model of consistency over his 200 games for the club.
Part of the club's 2002 premiership triumph, the Murray Bombers’ 2008 best and fairest showed his quality defence, but could also present as a ruckman.
His size made him a valuable asset across the ground, but his football smarts saw him lead the club in the early-to-mid 2010s.
15 - Xavier Campbell
The 2006 best and fairest could swing back or into the midfield, with an ability to impose himself physically on the contest as part of the mid-2000s Echuca side.
Returning in 2011, Campbell's intercept and rebound play across half-back was where he was at his deadliest.
16 - Guy Campbell
Guy Campbell donned the green jumper during the early 2000s, and the former Sydney-listed player was a dynamic utility with good pace for his size.
Campbell was a 2002 premiership player and, over the course of his career, a Vic Country representative and Morrison Medal winner.
