After a 14-shot win over Rich River, Echuca remains undefeated at the top of the ladder.
With all rinks up by the end of the encounter, it was Dennis Compton’s rink who got the best return for Echuca.
Moama and Tongala rank below Echuca with a 2-1 record.
Moama took care of business, beating Rochester by 14, while a topsy-turvy clash between Tongala and Deniliquin went the way of the former after Brad Tinning’s rink scored a six-shot win over Shane Laing.
Echuca delivered Moama its first loss of the division two season.
An eight-shot win — with Ian Whiting’s rink, including Robert Taylor, Eddie Blampied and Evan Berryman, standouts — keeps Echuca at the top of the table.
Both Deniliquin-based teams lost by four shots to Rochester and Tongala respectively, while Rich River easily accounted for Mathoura, with Rob King’s rink starring.
Deniliquin’s division three squad celebrated its first win of the summer with a thrilling one-shot scalp of Rochester, while Mathoura demolished Echuca by 38 shots to remain in second spot.
Tongala A held kept its grasp of top spot in division 4A with a 34-shot win over Rochester, followed by Echuca Blue in second after a 10-shot win over Elmore.
Mathoura Red clinched its first major points of the season with a two-shot win over Rich River White.
Little separates the top three sides in division 4B, with Rich River Green, Lockington and Deniliquin RSL all sitting on 33 points.
A 23-shot win over Deniliquin keeps Rich River at the pinnacle, while Lockington moved closer to usurping them with a 27-shot win of their own.
Rounding out the division, Deniliquin RSL beat Moama Green by seven, while Echuca White returned home with a 31-shot win over Mathoura Blue off the back of a 23-shot win by Keith Robertson (s), Paul Leach, John Cowan and last-minute inclusion Rhonda Gallagher.

Moama has separated itself as the one to beat after a thrilling one-shot win over reigning champion Echuca.
Coming face-to-face at Echuca, the home side got out to an early lead, before Moama cut the margin.
Marilyn Stephenson eventually led her Moama rink to a big win over Roma Opie, while Echuca’s Leica Roney did the same to Sandra Connolley.
But it was the second rink where the biggest battle took place, with Kerryn Evans and Cassandra Millerick going right to the edge before Millerick pulled off a two-shot win.
Deniliquin continued its winning form with a 17-shot win on the road against Rochester, while Mathoura succumbed to Rich River by seven shots.
The even contest saw Mathoura’s Christine Taylor claim her rink, before Rich River’s Margaret Griffith and Toni Beck led their team to victory.
Echuca and Rich River kept their undefeated division two run intact with comfortable wins in round three.
Echuca was not in a hospitable mood, blowing Ky Valley View off the greens with a 50-shot thumping, led by Wilma Curnow’s commanding 28-shot win.
Rich River got on top of Tongala by 17 shots, with Noeline King’s rink doing a job (30-12) on Joy Makepeace, while Lockington and Moama also celebrated comfortable wins over Rochester and Elmore.
Moama has a firm grasp of division three, with both its Red and Green teams corralling the top two rungs of the ladder.
Green had the bye last Friday, but Red earned their reward over Deniliquin, while Rich River escaped with a one-shot win over Tongala.
Mathoura captured its first win of the season, sending Echuca players home with their tails between their legs after a 22-shot smacking.
