After a stellar season, P*ssheads find themselves out of the finals at the hands of 26 Jets who beat them in a high-pressure game.
The game was evenly poised with the P*ssheads taking a 3-2 lead after five sets, but then the 26 Jets put on a three set winning spurt to take it to 5-3 their way, P*ssheads got one back, then the final nail in the coffin, 26 Jets took the all-important next set to make it a 6-4 victory.
Division 2
It was a fairly similar situation in division 2.
Warriors got off to a 4-2 lead, then Ocheholics won the next three sets to take back the lead at 5-4.
Warriors rallied to level the score, giving us a team’s game decider which could have gone either way.
Warriors were leading the team’s game quite comfortably, but their inability to peg let the Ocheholics back in.
Both teams had several attempts at peg, but it was the Warriors who finally prevailed to win 6-5.
Individual Highlights- Division 1
The outstanding highlight of division 1 was Jodie Oakley beating Darren Manners in 2 straight legs.
Darren was leading the 1st leg fairly comfortably until Jodie pulled out a mighty 118 peg.
She then went on to win leg 2 with a 40 peg after Darren had had several shots at the double.
The old saying, “Score for Show, Doubles for Dough” seems to have come into play.
Andrew Beaumont led the tons list with eight, which included a 180.
Shane Broucek also threw a 180.
Andrew shared the shortest leg of 19 darts with Alex Oakley.
Darren Manners had the best average with 18.93, narrowly beating Alex Oakley, who had 18.91.
As mentioned above, Jodie Oakley hit the highest peg with 118.
Division 2
Rob Molnar was once again the standout player.
He had the best average with 17.33, and he also had the most tons with six which included the only 180 in division 2.
The shortest legs went to Karlo Torlao and Penny Gritty in 27 darts.
3 players hit 40 pegs, Alan Bryson, Rob Molnar and Steve Robinson.
