This came following a first-round defeat to Nathan Appleton and Luke Day.
Anderson and Bester have been drawn to play Jake Maloney and Tony Scott in the first round of knock-outs on Monday.
Before that, Anderson, Moama teammate Peter Campbell, and Mathoura’s Mick Humphreys will begin their Men’s Singles knockout campaigns tomorrow.
Anderson and Campbell have drawn first-up byes, while Humphreys will play Wilson Alexander (Paradise Point) at Club Robina on Saturday after a thrilling sectional battle.
Meanwhile, in the Women’s Singles, Moama’s Cassandra Millerick, Sandra Connelly, Kelly Norris, and Kath Wastell finished second in their groups after a riveting day’s play.
At the time of writing, the quartet were relying on next-best qualifiers to advance.
Joan Moss, Gayle Kerr (Mathoura), Ella Hipworth, and Olivia Cartwright (Moama) battled hard but missed out on qualification for the knock-outs.
Millerick, playing alongside her twin sister Bolivia, will have to rely on next best qualifiers in the women’s pairs.
