The club did, however, schedule an early start for the club singles championships on Saturday.
The ladies singles final was played between Rachel Glanvill and Louise Glanvill. Rachel’s experience prevailed, and she had a convincing win over Louise to take the championship.
The men’s singles championship continued Sunday in much cooler conditions. The semi-finals were played in the morning, with Graeme Clements defeating Rob Lillis and Rick Bradbury winning against Paul Glanvill. Rick had a convincing win against Graeme to claim the title.
Hopefully the cooler weather continues this week as the club starts Barefoot Bowls on Wednesday February 4 at 6.15pm.
A team can be found for players who need one; no experience or bowls necessary. $10/head includes a sausage sizzle.
