At Epsom Huntly Reserve on Saturday, two Border Raiders under-12 squads claimed premierships, the club taking out the titles in under-12C and under-12D.
Both squads defeated their opponents 6-0 in comprehensive performances, cruising to the premiership in dominant fashion.
In under-12C, Spring Gully was the unfortunate victim as the Border Raiders Vikings slotted three goals in each half.
Alby Bull was responsible for four of the strikes, while Gus Wood and Oscar Bull also got on the scoresheet.
Border Raiders Pirates under-12D won the Supercup over Strathfieldsaye.
Across the reserve, the under-12D Border Raiders Pirates took down Strathfieldsaye Colts United White by the same scoreline.
The first half proved an arm wrestle, and only Jacob Turri’s 10th-minute goal separated the sides at halftime.
However, after the break the Border Raiders really flexed their muscles, Turri getting on the board again, while Gus Guinan added one and Cleo Guinan fired through a second-half hat-trick.
In the Border Raiders’ senior leagues, Strathfieldsaye upset formerly perfect Spring Gully 3-2 in the women’s League 1 final, while Gully had more success in men’s League 2, defeating Golden City 2-0.
