Monday marks the beginning of BPL 17 at Moama Bowling Club with the showpiece Bowls Premier League event making its way back to the Murray River once again.
The fast-paced tournament will be held from February 20-24 as some of the best bowls players in the world converge on Moama for a share of the top prize.
Ten teams will compete against each other twice from Monday to Thursday with the top five ranked squads after the qualifying round of clashes taking part in finals on Friday.
Moama will once again be represented by the unchanged team of Cassandra Millerick, Aron Sherriff and Ryan Bester as they hope to lift their first trophy since 2020.
The Steamers finished fifth in BPL 16 at Pine Rivers in Queensland last year.
The format of the competition remains the same; players will compete in two five-end sets with a tie-break end available if scores are tied.
The rapid nature of Bowls Premier League has made for an entertaining format with big crowds once again poised to pack into Moama Bowling Club.
