When Zac Norris sustained a season-ending injury last season, centre-half back Aidan Robinson took up the mantle as captain.

Upon Norris’ return in 2025, Robinson’s influence was strong enough in a down year to be given the joint position with the already established skipper.
A beloved figure at Kyabram, Robinson has a calm and level-headed demeanour.
As an orchestrator in the back line, Robinson has been key in keeping the side’s structure and directing traffic — playing a large role in the Bombers’ staggering 16-2 home-and-away record in the Goulburn Valley League this season.
“I was captain last year because Zac Norris got injured, so I had to step up and then yeah I’m co-captain with Zac this year so it’s my second year doing it and it’s been great,” Robinson said.
“I’m surrounded by a bunch of guys that help me out and all the coaches are supportive, we’ve got a pretty good leadership group where we all do a little bit.
“We don’t just rely on one guy to do it all, which has been good, it’s made the transition easy.
“I play down back, so I’m able to set up the field because I can see everyone in front of me.
“We’ve got really strong leaders in every line on the ground, so everyone just does their little bit and makes for a good system.”

Robinson emphasised the community feel around the club and how the unity at Kyabram had played a significant role in its success in 2025.
He also looked ahead to the grand final against Rochester and highlighted the Bombers’ desire to play their confident and team-first style of football.
“The camaraderie this season has definitely been the best I’ve ever been involved with,” he said.
“From the coaches to the president, everyone just gets together, and we get around each other, the numbers at trainings and functions have been great, it’s been as big as it’s ever been, so it’s been good.
“Which is obviously a big key to where we’re sitting at the moment.
“We’re confident, not cocky. If we play our game and do what we’ve been doing the last few weeks, I think we’ll be thereabouts.”
