Good game played by all. The open team held their own to win the game 3-1.

Their goalie, Jacinta Gray, saved some cracks at goal in the second half, only letting one slip through her fingers.

Everyone young and old had played a brilliant game of soccer.

A1 passed the ball around well as a team, they were just lacking a bit of fire power with Ollie, Miles and Enzo away.

Best on Ground: Jacinta Gray Harley Benger; Sportsmanship: Nivedh Manuprasad and the kids who stepped up to help the adults on the open team.

Tough day at the office for A2, but the players really worked hard in defence, with some great pressure acts from Will Steenholdt.

Ricon Riccis had two very near misses on goal in the first half and the rest of the team made the opposition goalkeeper work hard.

Elliott Loughridge from A3 curled an impressive corner kick right into the goal. Great footwork from Eden.

Best on ground: Annabelle Hanns, Travis Hanns; Sportsmanship: Will Steenholdt, Lucas Thompson.

A beautiful day for a great game.

All four goals were scored in the first half with all players contributing to the excitement.

B4 had a handful of shots at goals but unfortunately couldn’t convert any.

The team played fantastically during the second half, putting more pressure on to keep B1 from adding to their score.

Teamwork was the key ingredient to cohesion this game, with everyone on B1 delivering a solid effort and can-do attitude.

Some en pointe celebrations made for some fun team spirit!

Best on ground: Jack McLeod, Joe Holden; Sportsmanship: Jasper Dellwo.

What a game! A very even match, the green team played exceptionally well with spirits high from the win last week.

All players were keen to make their mark again, and with a 4-all draw, the game ended with heads held high.

Yuan Maramag and Arabella Hayes were brick walls in goals for the purple team, stopping everything that came their way.

Mitchell Burn and Luca Sztejman hit the scoreboard with awesome goals.

Max Hussey and George Allitt were rockstars in defence, while Jackson Gunn and Jed Chadderton ran their hearts out.

Big smiles, big effort – great fun all round.

Best on ground: Timothy Burge, Jack Napier; Sportsmanship: Matilda Bootsman, Stella Holden.

Great defence by both teams.

It was a good even game with players learning to share the ball around each other.

A bit more tactical play was also on display this week.

Bronte Lawson had two really good goal blocks.

Best on ground: Theo Beal, Bronte Lawson; Sportsmanship: George McMahon, Charlie Burge.

The grey team was short so some of the red players put on a bib and played for them.

The game was even for the first half with good play by both teams.

The second half saw grey kick away with a spread of goals from multiple players.

A few red players kicked good goals for the grey team and Maxi Robson kicked an excellent goal for red.

Best on ground: Axel Doidge, Poppy Lawson; Sportsmanship: Maxi Robson, Campbell Shields.

Kangas and Joeys

The Kangas and Joeys enjoyed the sunshine this week and are building up their skill banks.

A big thanks to Mel Kennedy who has been running these sessions, keeping our youngest players engaged with and enthusiastic about the beautiful game.

Sophia Lehmann takes control of the ball.
