Club gears up for championships

The club’s Pennant team had better weather when continuing in the competition yesterday.

The team is Fred Littmann, Leo Barry, Mary James and Garry Brose.

There are nine teams from across the Goulburn Valley Croquet Association district playing in the spring pennant.

Deniliquin is currently in fifth place after a win and a loss in the first two rounds.

In round two last Thursday, Deniliquin managed a win over the Kyabram Wrens 8/71 to 4/64.

Yesterday, the team was playing the Shepparton Magpies in Shepparton.

This Sunday, the Deniliquin Croquet Club will be playing its doubles championships at the Charlotte St courts.
