Club introduces community to croquet

Play was followed by an afternoon tea, with a promise to do it all again.

If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at croquet, Brian Dudley is running come and try sessions on Tuesday afternoons at 2pm.

Anyone who is interested can head down to the Charlotte St courts for a relaxed session.

The promise of rain on Wednesday did not deter the 19 players from participation.

Peter Whittakers and Alan Higgins were the three game winners, with Peter edging out Alan for first place on a hoop countback.

There were five jump shots with Peter scoring three, and Brian Dudley and Leo Barry scoring one each.

Brain also scored a hoop in one shot.

In pennant, this is the last week of competition before the finals commence.

Deniliquin is currently fourth on the ladder, and a win this week would cement their position for a place in the finals.
