Victoria’s best and brightest young basketball talents descended on Echuca from September 16-19 in the first steps of their Basketball Victoria talent pathways.

The Country Jamboree returned to the border and saw 240 under-12 players, 120 boys and 120 girls, invited to compete on the courts at Echuca Moama Basketball Association and gain a taste for high-performance environments.

Skill activities and games took place over the course of the three-day tournament, while a big crowd of parents and supporters watched on.
EMBA volunteers were also hard at work during the tournament, while on the court the organisation was represented by four players, two referees, and two in leadership positions.

Pippa Leeds competed for the Emily Flanigan-coached Pioneers girls team, while Saige Milner (Bushrangers), Chloe Ryan (Kookaburras) and Jaxon Key (Magpies), along with team manager Melanie Pyle, all represented with aplomb.
