Misfits won the team’s game, but it was all too late, as P*ssheads had already made it 6-4.
It must be said though, Misfits were without Jo Hadley, who is in Brisbane representing Victoria in the Australian Championships.
Hasbeens had a fairly comfortable 7-4 win against former stablemates Shoeless, and in the final game, Locky Lightning showed 1st division debutantes Recyclables just how to play the game, beating them in a very one-sided 9-2 result.
It was good to see a few different names stepping up this week, taking the spotlight off Michael Bajowski.
Michael still topped the averages with 24.98 and the tons with 16, which included a 180 but it was Darren Manners who threw the shortest game in 16 darts.
Paul Seaton had the highest peg with an impressive 103, the only peg over 100 in 1st division.
Finally, John Villiers and Marcus McKenner both threw 180’s.
Division Two- Round One
Just as 1st division did last week, the three matches in 2nd division all ended with the same score line.
Pastoral Pirates got off to a resounding 5-1 lead against the Pastoral Warriors, but the Warriors weren’t giving up.
They hit a bit of form and pulled the score back to 5-4, but to no avail.
Amon Sinnott stepped up and beat Geoff Ward to seal the win.
Warriors won the next two sets to bring the score to a respectable 6-5.
New team in the comp, Tonny Travellers, got off to a great start against Pastoral Phoenix.
Having won the first three sets, they went on to take the score 5-2, but Phoenix had other ideas.
They won the next three singles sets to take it to a team’s game decider, which was dominated by Trevor Kent to give Phoenix a massive comeback win.
Trevor not only hit the winning double, he hit 2 x 80 plus and 2 x 100 plus scores on the way.
Unlike the other matches, Ocheholics and No Bulls Hit were reasonably close for most of the way.
The match was poised at 4-all halfway through the reverse singles.
Unfortunately for No Bulls Hit, seasoned players Terry Heaney and Penny Gritty took out the next two sets to give Ocheholics the win at 6-4.
No Bulls Hit won the team's game, but again, the bull had already bolted.
As mentioned above, Trevor Kent figured well in the individual performances.
He hit the only 180, and shared the ton list with George Thornley, both throwing 7 tons.
He also shared the shortest game category with 22 darts alongside veteran player Brian Crilly, who has just come back to the league after a long spell.
Brian showed he still has it by also heading the averages list with 17.43.
The high peg went to Alan Bryson with a 101 finish, again the only ton plus peg.
