Echuca United continues to astound in Murray Netball League’s C-reserve competition, winning its way through the preliminary final on Saturday.

After consecutive one-goal wins over Nathalia and Finley to start the finals, the fifth-seeded Eagles added Moama to their list of victims.

United prevailed 32-30 over its cross-town rival and will now continue its fairytale run in the grand final against minor premier Tongala.

To say the Eagles were unlikely grand finalists is an understatement, the side having only picked up eight wins in the regular season.

Meanwhile, the top four teams, who United have now eliminated three of, each won 11 or more games throughout the year.

The last domino to fall for the Eagles is the Blues, who defeated United by 16 and 22 goals in their two previous meetings.

The two sides will clash on Saturday at Moama Recreation Reserve.
