The Campaspe Area pennant weekend competition resulted in one win and two losses overall, albeit by small margins.
Division 3 lost to Rochester with only one rink up in the 56–60 loss.

Division 4 visited Echuca and came home a little disappointed after losing 36–39.

Last Tuesday, the women played pairs for their weekly social bowls.
The winning pair were Katthi Maddison and Annette Brereton (s) in an overwhelming display of bowls, 10–1 and 15–2.
On Tuesday evening, the barefoot bowls attracted a good quality field of 24 players.
The winning team was the same players as the previous week, just with positional changes.
Ian Staig, Peter Eade, Jeff Carnie (s) scored two wins plus 17 shots to win ahead of Keifer Haines and Dad Ian Haines (s), one win and one loss +5 shots.
Next in line were Tara, Lloyd and Chelsea on one win one loss minus one shot. Barefoot bowls will resume in the New Year.
The club held a Christmas break‒up party on Friday evening, attracting a crowd of 50-plus members and guests, including life members Roy Perks, Alan Kauffman and Les Brereton.
Club presidents Neil Haines and Denise Gilmore welcomed all present and wished all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
The women once again excelled in presenting a fine meal and sweets that couldnt fail to satisfy. The special competition winners on the night included Dave Thomas, Ann Luscombe, Bill Musgrove and Chris Stewart.
The annual Christmas hamper competition was also well supported.
The club will hold the annual Moama Bowling Club-supported Open Fours on Thursday, January 12 starting at 9.30am.

The Ladies Christmas Fours sponsored by Moama Bowling Club was played on Wednesday, December 14.
Winners were Pam Lewis, Jenny Tonta, Chris Frampton and Gaye Goodwin, while runners-up were Mary Greco, Jenny Dixon, Jan McFadyen and Lucy Patia.
The best last game was won by Marilyn Stephenson’s team and the ditch-to-ditch was won by Beryl Murray, Wilma Curnow, Judy Murray and Judy Maude.
The Men’s Christmas Fours was sponsored by Mitsubishi on Thursday, December 15.
The winners from Rich River were Stan Barker, Colin Hayes, Trevor Nagorka and Ken Jones. Second place also represented Rich River and were Gary Radford, Tim Noar, Dennis Demeo and Ron Ritchie.
Third place went to Roy Jackson, Bryan Harper, Garth Wiffen and Brian Davie. Best last game went to Tony Deenen, John Hollowood, Ron Payne, and Kevin McAsey.
For midweek pennant, all teams played at home. Division 1 had a win against Rochester with Leica Roney having the biggest win by 18 shots.
In Division 2, Marie Malone’s rink led the way with a plus-13 shot and the side won overall. Division 3 played a draw with Bernie John’s rink winning by four shots.
In weekend pennant Division 1, Jim Ferrier’s rink had a fabulous 17-shot win to deliver the side an overall win.
Wally Fehring’s rink in Division 2 had a win of 20 shots for a strong overall win.
Division 3 had all winning rinks with Max Bennett’s holding the highest winning margin of 10 shots.
Ron Payne’s rink in Division 4 of seven shots was enough to secure an overall win, and while Division 5 suffered a loss, they will bounce back after the break.
