AC pennant: After negotiating the detours and heavy morning traffic, Quarry Hill's team finally arrived to take on Rich River.
At the end of the day Rich River won 3/102 over Quarry Hill 3/87. John James was Rich River’s best player winning both his games.
Thursday, November 17
In social croquet, 15 members played singles. New member Surong Gunn played extremely well to be runner-up on +6, just behind winning husband Jim on +7.
GC Pennant: Kangas played at home against Shepparton Magpies. Greg Brierley was rewarded for winning four of four games with a drop in his handicap from eight to seven. Congratulations Greg. Final scores Kangas 7/71 to Magpies 5/66.
Emus travelled to Kyabram. After a disastrous two rounds of singles, Emus were able to claw back three of four doubles for a final score of 4/60 to Kyabram 8/69. Highs and lows of pennant. Last week Emus defeated the top team, this week they were beaten by the bottom team.
Monday, November 21
The annual GVCA/GMCU Interschool GC tournament was held at Shepparton Croquet Club.
Eight teams of four from Moama Anglican Grammar, Euroa Secondary College, Goulburn Valley Grammar and Numurkah Secondary College played four games of doubles.
The top three teams had all won six games and were only separated by a number of hoops. Winners Goulburn Valley Grammar team one was just ahead of Moama Anglican Grammar team two.
Well done to both MAG teams. Thanks to coaches Marjorie Grant, Dave Maher and Russell Smyth, to RRGC for the use of the bus and to driver Rick Finch.
Tuesday, November 22
Twenty members played doubles. Five players won all three games. Our winner for the day was Doc Ryant on +13. Fiona Larcombe was runner-up on +11. Ian Grant and Greg Brierley each scored a hoop in one.
Payment for Christmas dinner is due by Tuesday, November 29 and payable at Golf Club reception.

Our pennant team played well beating Shepparton Kookaburras at Shepparton.
Friday, November 18
Eight members arrived to be greeted by three young kangaroos, they watched us playing the first game while trying to find their way out of the courts.
After one of our members opened the back gate, they hopped away. We all played three practice games.

Monday, November 21
Seventeen members all played three games in cool, windy conditions. Winner for the day was John Graham winning three games with a +9.
Close second and third was Beryl Ash with a +7 and Vince Jessen with a +6.
A $10 Moama Bakery voucher was presented to John Graham being the winner on the day.
Hoops in one went to Jessen and Jack Clee. Jump shots for the day went to John Graham, Jessen and Lyn Keillor.
