On coronation day, it was only befitting that King Richard Feuk would walk away with the win in last Saturday's qualifying singles match play stroke round event.
His loyal subjects, including a small group of court jesters, rose in excitement when King Richard (94-24 net 70) won on a countback from president Leigh Hicks (76-6 net 70).
The next best and ball winners were Robert Vise (71), Jake Wright (71) and Peter Anderson (72). Ap Kuiper, Bruce Bryant and Lachie Wilson will join Feuk, Hicks, Vise, Anderson and Wright to fight for the Rochester Golf Club singles match play ‘crown’.
Nearest-the-pin winners were Hicks (3), Chris Eeles (8), Bruce Major (10) and Feuk (16). Next Saturday players will try to qualify for the club’s four-ball match play championship, and the top four groups to advance.

Unfortunately, our pennant team lost the grand final in the Golf Central Victorian Open division, played at Heathcote on Sunday, going down 3/2.
