The stroke event brought out some great scores with Alan Docking winding back the clock with a fine nett 64.
I am pretty sure he has bragging rights from the day even though son Ben broke par and eagled the 17.
Peter Johnston won A-grade and the Ciavarella’s are in great form with Tony on top of the leaderboard on this occasion. Greg Norwood’s eagle on 17 was half a metre from a coveted albatross — a great shot.

Lots of scores in the 40-point range in the privilege cup with Glenn Ogden’s 45 taking it home.
Mick de Jager had a great score to win A-grade from club champion Kirk Ardley who shot under par and also eagled the par four 10th.
Dave Cockroft has hit form and pipped Kade Merlo and “Saint” Trevor Moody for the major B-grade prize.

Judy Cook had a big win in the ladies competition over the consistent Maree Ciavarella.
Kacey and Pam Heywood are showing great form at the moment with Kacey in third place and winning the nearest the pin. Simone Morgan won the super-pin.

Sunday, March 5
The good scores continued on Sunday with two Joshua’s winning their grades, Joshua Novoselek in A-grade with 40 points and Joshua O'Brien in B with 42. Steven Smith and Daniel Larkin both had 39 to come second and third in A-grade, while Karen Slater's 39 gave her second in B-grade. Third was Brian Holmes with 38.
Monday, March 6
Women's nine holes: Sharyn Scott was the winner in A-grade to top score with 19 stableford points while countbacks were needed to decide the rest of the winners in both grades.

Men's nine holes: The inaugural men's Monday nine-hole competition was won by Darcy Hall with 21 stableford points and Jim Patton followed in second place with 19.
18-hole Medley: Liz Connick took first place in a three-way countback with 34 points, Diane Watson was second and Craig Spiers third. Wade McGill, visiting from Berwick Montuna Golf Club was nearest the pin.
Tuesday, March 7
Mitchell Varley from Sanctuary Cove was getting in an early round before the NSW Open and shot a great score of eight under par to win A-grade.
Clayton Jones had the score of the day in B-grade with KD Martin and Danny Lavery in hot pursuit.
C-grade was even closer with Max Prendergast winning a countback over KD Martin and John Gaspar.
Leigh Robbins was on song on the par threes as was Barry Callanan who won the super-pin.

Wednesday, March 8
Chris Kelly was back in form after last week's slump and romped in with 67 nett to win the March Monthly Medal and B-grade.
Di Paterson had the win in A-grade with nett 70 on a countback to Anna Docking, who didn't quite match hubby Alan's Saturday effort, but she did have a nearest the pin. Julie Charlton was C-grade winner with 70 nett.

Summer 4Ball Pennant
Rich River Blue lost to Deniliquin six matches to one and Rich River Green lost to Barham four matches to three, which cost them a spot in the grand final. Barham will play Deniliquin at Murray Downs for the title.
Interclub Challenge
The Rich River girls squared their match with Barham on Monday but relinquished top spot on the ladder to Deniliquin who defeated Murray Downs four and one.
Chris and Lorraine had a three and two win and Josie and Ann won their match two and one.
Deb and Ruth went down two and one, Heather and Louise went all the way to go one down at the 18th while Colleen and Jan, who were one down heading to the last tee, rallied well and won the last to square the match.
PL Round 5
Fairway Fillies regained their top spot on the ladder with a convincing win over the Fairway Ninjas.
Once again Chris Kelly top scored for the PL round and for her Fillies, adding to their 137 points for the day.
Pitch Perfect equalled that top score for the day also with 137 — watch these two teams tussle each other for the top rung.
Pitch Perfect had a win over the Partee girls who, with only four of their team playing, did well to make 124 points.
Third on the ladder is Bunker Belles who had a close win with only one point the difference over the Sippers 127 to 126. The Lady Birdies also scored a 127, taking the win over the the Chippers & Sippers on 113.
Wonder Wackers had their full team in giving some leeway to select the top four scores out of a mixed bag of results.
They made 133 to the Rich River Diamonds 119.
The 8 Tarts, were only 6 Tarts, but those six girls all scored in the 30s, making a good 135 to take a win over the Wild Wedges & Wine girls on 130.
Due to the NSW Open next week, there will be no PL so Round 6 will be on March 22 and begins the home run of our 11 matches.
Rich River Veterans Golf
Seventy-five players took to the field on March 3 in very pleasant conditions.
Men’s A-grade winner on 37 points was Mark Emery with runner-up Peter Sargentson with 36 points c/b.
B-grade was won with an impressive 38 points by Martin Camezuli and Merv Smith second on 36 points.
NTP’s on the 3rd were A-grade Albert Glen, B-grade Barry Gallagher. No NTP on the 13th but Greg Cheong was the closest for B-grade.
Lorraine De Ravin took out A-grade for the Ladies with 38 points, Gloria Bennett runner up with 36 points.
B-grade winner was Ann McPherson, Kaye Mullarvey runner-up with 32 points c/b.
Gloria Bennett took out the A-grade NTPs on both the 3rd and the 13th with Jo Cash B-grade on the 3rd and Marilyn Robins in B-grade on the 13th.
Next Veterans Golf day is April 14.
