Neville McPherson from Numurkah and local Paul Arnel combined beautifully in the four-ball to take down local heroes Rob Merlo and Flipper Wilson.
Axyl Lewis and Ashley Bronsgeest, who finished in third, are fast becoming one of the most feared four-ball combinations at Rich River.
Dave Kelly hit a ripper to win the super-pin and Nigel Berryman eagled the par four 10th after driving the green. The ball was going straight towards the hole at fast pace when it hit a ball (some 30cm from the hole) of the group in front who were on the green putting.

Another one of the up-and-coming group of youngsters, Brodie Collins won C-grade and the Privilege Cup, edging out Bernie McGrath who would no doubt have put the cup to good use if he had got over the line.
Mick Graham won A-grade and you will see his name in the prize money the next few weeks as he enjoys his holiday break from Melbourne.
Darren Kulbars responded after a poor showing last week and “Demon” Ray Carr is showing form in the pre-season.
Kenny Ashworth took B-grade honours in a countback over the consistent Brian Malone.

In Sunday's medley stableford round, all winners scored 40 points or more, with Adrian Dohnt scooping the A-grade pool with 46, Nick Sheldon (B) 45 and John Guilfoyle (C) with 43.

Monday, January 10:
Moira Thomas took the honour in the nine-hole competition with 23 stableford points, edging out Sharyn Scott on 21 and Lorraine De Ravin on 19. Nearest-the-pins were Heather Gunstone and Anita Speight.
The Medley event was won by Lorraine Bowman on 39 points, from second-placed Marilyn Robins (38) on a countback from Ellen Banko (38) third. Jiddy Dixon and Marie Collins were nearest-the-pin.
Tuesday, January 11:
Max Prendergast had the score of the day to win C-grade by a big margin. John Bedford won A-grade and a nearest-the-pin and Ap Kuiper lapped up the muggy afternoon conditions to take the B-grade honours.

Wednesday, January 12:
Fields were smaller with the hotter weather, and 76 women contested the par round on Wednesday with veterans Joyce Moresi and Marilyn Morrell topping A and B grades respectively with scores of plus three.
Maxine Aitken had a great shot on the 16th to win the super-pin.
