Echuca salutes season’s best

Reid was supreme in the midfield all season, kicking 37 goals in 18 games as one of the competition’s premier on-ballers.

Jackson Stewart was recognised for his outstanding year in the GVL premiership-winning side, being named runner-up.

The club’s first A-grade netball premiership since 2018 sealed a remarkable second half of the season, with Ashlea Mangan at the forefront.

Mangan displayed all of her experience throughout the season to help deliver Echuca the ultimate glory and was named a deserving best-and-fairest as well as best player in finals.

Captain Stephanie Vick finished as runner-up to Mangan after starring in the mid-court.

Reserves footballer Tighe O’Brien was recognised as his side’s best-and fairest, named in the best in 12 of his 13 games played while also featuring at senior level three times.

Sam Deola enjoyed a fine season also to finish as runner-up in the reserves vote count.

The under-18 football side enjoyed a dominant year, dropping just one game en route to yet another premiership, with Max Hagan claiming the best-and-fairest ahead of runner-up Harry Milburn.

Georgie Eishold claimed the B-grade best-and-fairest ahead of Bridget Byrne, while Kylie Walker edged out Alex Hamilton for the B-reserve honour.

Emma Head took out the under-17 best-and-fairest ahead of Maisy Byrne, while Rose Byrne added the under-15 honour to her grand final best-on-court medal, just ahead of runner-up Ruby Morley.

The club also inducted six new life members on the night, with Simon Eishold, Sheridan Townrow, Jordan Townrow, Peter Monahan, Kylie Coutts and Gina Pearson all recognised for their invaluable service to the club.
