Echuca and Moama both put in dominant performances this week as the Campaspe Playing Area midweek pennant continued.

Echuca made the short drive to Rich River Bowls Club and came away with maximum points, winning all three rinks in a 16-70 to 0-47 result.

Skip Kerryn Evans had the running against Elizabeth Easther and was responsible for much of the Echuca margin, securing a 30-13 win.
The other two rinks were both hotly contested, but Echuca managed to prevail over a gutsy Rich River in each instance.

Ian Page skipped a 19-15 victory over Brian Trengove’s outfit, while Rich River’s Bev Trengove suffered a similar fate against Echuca’s James Ferrier 21-19.
Moama remained the hot favourite to claim the midweek title, completing its set of victories over each of the other seven sides with a comprehensive 16-73 to 0-41 triumph over Deniliquin.

Matt Robertson’s quartet was in good touch as he led Tony Hawley, Marilyn Stephenson and Robert Young to a 33-9 thrashing.
Jock Linehan overcame Stephen O’Brien 20-13, while Cameron Keenan just edged out Paul Clear 20-19 to ensure the maximum points came the Steamers’ way.

In a mid-table battle, Kyabram earned some breathing room in the top four with victory over Stanhope, 14-60 to 2-51.
Joe Greco won by eight shots, 23-15, over Stanhope’s Peter Myers, while Noel Reddrop scored the same margin against Neville Cowie 25-17.
Jennifer Crilly claimed rink points for Stanhope in the remaining contest, getting up 19-12.

In the final game of round seven, Rochester got itself off the foot of the table with a 14-57 to 2-48 win over Mathoura.
Tim Quinlan’s rink hit its targets and secured a solid 26-18 victory for Rochy.
Kaye Barker also skipped her squad well, prevailing 18-11 over Mathoura’s Dennis McHarry.

In the remaining rink, Beryl Murray scored points for Mathoura, 19-13 over Brian Kinnane.
Moama leads the league by a good margin at the halfway mark, while Echuca and Kyabram are also solidly embedded in the top three.
Deniliquin and Stanhope are the next best hopes for finals, but even the lower-table Mathoura, Rochester and Rich River aren’t too far off the pace.

Lower divisions
In division two, Echuca got the best of Rochester 16-71 to 0-42, while Kyabram ran up the score against Rich River 16-78 to 0-53.
A huge 33-8 win to Darren Yates got Moama home over Deniliquin RSL 12-65 to 4-51, despite dropping the other rinks.
In division three, Lockington took down Echuca 12-44 to 2-37, and Kyabram won both rinks against Elmore 14-52 to 0-33.
Moama defeated Tongala 14-50 to 0-36, Deniliquin dominated Ky Valley View 14-47 to 0-17, and Rich River was too strong for Rochester 14-46 to 0-32.
In division four, Lockington crushed Tongala 14-80 to 0-10, while the Moamas, Black and Green, finished deadlocked at 7-33.
Echuca beat Rich River 12-44 to 2-37, while Kyabram did enough to get past Stanhope 12-37 to 2-33.
