Three years later, in 1978, a brick building was erected and in 1986 four courts had lighting.
Then in 1990, after a lot of fundraising and additional support from Rich River Golf Club, the building was doubled in size.
To help celebrate the 50th anniversary, an afternoon tea was held at the complex where past players, committee, umpires, coaches and families were invited to reminisce and observe the history that has been laid out around the complex and enjoy catching up with a cuppa.
Much laughter could be heard during the afternoon when old photos, Riverine Herald stories and memories were shared, especially at the uniform and hairstyles from those earlier years.
Several of the EDNA life members were in attendance, so it was a good opportunity to take a group photo.
If you were unable to attend, the EDNA committee will be leaving the memorabilia up for a few more weeks and invites anyone who would like to view the display to call in during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm, or while our Tuesday night senior, Wednesday junior or mixed competitions are under way.
